When Langley attic insulation is mold-contaminated, pest-damaged, or too degraded to top up effectively, professional removal is required before new material goes in. Western Insulation uses industrial-grade vacuum equipment to extract all existing material safely through a hose — no loose insulation enters your living space. All material is bagged and removed off-site. The attic is then air-sealed and insulated to R-60. Removal adds $1.00 to $2.00 per square foot to the total project cost.
